its not very difficult at all....(butter and flour for rue, add milk, add spices, add cheese--add pasta, leaving out some but thats basically it, I used to make it in the microwave too).

its friday (and my anniversary for which we are doing nothing, see what happens when you have been married for a few decades).

went out for dinner, think I need to take out a loan to pay for it though (steak place), well its only once a year so I think I can take the hit, and I dont need to eat for another week!

That is a positive and a negative. Gets awfully lonely sometimes.

Haven't been out to dinner in a while. Cheaper to cook and it nets me a few days (at least) of leftovers.

made deep dish pizza (homemade including the crust) for dinner...have some left for lunches tomorrow (hubby will get to it first).

weekend over already

pretty dang cold last night...thought they say it might warm up this week, typical weather for fall around here, one day its freezing the next its in the 70's.

Weather is just being weird, but that is what it does. Not sure what the weekend holds, haven't looked that far ahead yet.

We got something from Farm and Fleet about Toyland a couple weeks ago... I mean come on folks, at least let us get through Halloween!

Yeah the weather is like that.

I think the earliest I saw xmas stuff was the 4th of july--a bunch of years back, one store had their christmas tree up already and so as to not look toooo out of place, had american flags on it, nice try but really? (and no it was not a christmas in july sale, it was before that was thought up really). Boggles the mind.....

Well my upstairs neighbors were doing something from about 3am to 5am that required some serious stomping I guess... Not big fans of them at all...

our neighbors are incapable of walking, they ONLY stomp and SLAM! doors, no such thing as consideration of your neighbors here (dang I miss my old neighbors--the lady across the way was always so quiet, and the lady downstairs was usually on her lower level and her grandkids were so nice---ah well, still have the guy below me who smokes like a chimney and the smoke somehow vents into our place

).....there are few pros for living in these places and plenty of cons. /sad panda

on the good front: went to get gas for the car...and I will NOT complain about the prices for a change...I had to pinch myself a few times to make sure I was not dreaming! Since the last time I put gas in my car the price has dropped almost half a dollar!!!!! (it was below $3 in some places too

!)...though I do have to wonder why the oil companies arent making more out of the middle east stuff going on to raise them at this time---I dont seem to understand, usually if something bad is happening anywhere in the world the price goes UP

To be fair it was 6am and I had only gotten like 5 hours of sleep thanks to my upstairs neighbors. Sleep deprivation makes me not do normal things...

Smokers we do not like at all. I find them to be pretty inconsiderate as well. If you ask them if they could smoke outside they always say well it's my apartment I'm smoking in, not yours. Even if you point out that the smoke travels and ends up in yours they still do it. So annoying...

I need to fill up this morning. Hopefully gas is still $2.99 when I get there today. We can only hope.

yes smokers are the bottom of the barrel, and even possibly beyond that. Most of them dont bother to follow the rules on smoking outside builders either (15 feet is not right outside the door, bro).

Hope so--it was quite nice putting in $30 and getting most of the tank filled up.

even had the door open for a bit today, a wee bit cool, but nice to let in the fresh air....will miss this very soon

Oh I was a barrel of fun that day. I get loopy when I get too tired. I was able to wake up enough to get through the classes but after school, different story.

I filled up 12 gallons for like $36 yesterday. Nice little change from normally putting in over $40 worth.

I wasn't even home enough yesterday to open anything up... And another day like that today... Yay...

well, blast, I knew it was too good to last...price went up a whole quarter since yesterday

though it was warmer than yesterday, the overnight low was almost close enough for me to want to turn on my furnace (have had neither heat nor a/c on for the last week+ am trying to see if we can get thru the next week without them and save up some $$ for xmas).

making stew for dinner, have lots of potatoes and carrots left in the veggie bin and its cool enough to want to have some nice warm stew right now.

Still the same around here. For now. Expecting it to hike up around Halloween... They find any reason to raise prices these days.

68 is the high today. 70 tomorrow, and then almost 80 on Monday. What? Isn't November coming?

Wife is coming back today. So I've been cleaning. Glad I got the day off to get that stuff done.

yeah just saw the forecast for monday and its mid 70's /faint!
we have the balcony door open and there is such a nice light breeze coming in....I feel a perfect temp nap coming on (just got back from my massage so its always a good time for a nap, when all the muscles are nice and relaxed )

must get out for the weekend, a walk does sound good...
